ACP NDAKI PAYS A COURTESY CALL ON TTB


The Tanzania Police Force has assured Tanzania Tourist Board of its full support and commitment in making sure that foreign tourists visiting destination Tanzania are safe during their stay in the country.
The assurance was given by the Commanding Officer of the Diplomatic and Tourism Unit Assistant Commission of Police (ACP) Juma Ndaki when he paid a courtesy call on the Acting Managing Director of Tanzania Tourist Board to explore ways of co-operation.
Introducing himself to the TTB chief executive, ACP Ndaki said that Tanzania Police Force had decided to form that special Unit to ensure that tourists who come to Tanzania enjoy maximum security throughout their stay. “We in the Police Force recognized that it was high time we established the special unit which will be responsible for the security of diplomats and tourists visiting our country”.  ACP Ndaki has taken over the post from ACP Maria Nzuki who has been transferred to other other post in the Police force
He noted that his visit was also aimed at learning more about the tourism and hospitality industry and establishing how they could work together for the benefit of the industry and the nation as a whole. He assured the Tanzania Tourist Board and other stakeholders of his full support.
On her part the TTB’s Acting Managing Director said that the Police Force move would make a significant impact on the development of the tourism industry in Tanzania because peace and security are critical factors in attracting more visitors to any destination. “You may be endowed with unique tourist attractions but if there is no peace and security tourists will never come” she pointed out.
